Abstract. Putra ETS, Purwanto BH, Wulandari C, Alam T. 2021. Metabolic activities of eight oil palm progenies grown under aluminum toxicity. Biodiversitas 22: 3146-3155. In Indonesia, is mostly cultivated on red-yellow podzolic soils, which mainly contain the high availability (Al). This condition might affect growth i.e stunted and root damage. Therefore, this study was aimed to characterize metabolic Al The conducted from January December 2018 in Bendosari Hamlet, Madurejo Village, Prambanan Sub-District, Sleman District, Province Yogyakarta, Indonesia. trial laid out a randomized complete block design (RCBD) factorial with three blocks as replications, experimental factors including concentration. observation concentration planting medium, activities, growth. data were analyzed using ANOVA, PLS-SEM, stepwise regression, hierarchical clustering heatmap, GGE-Biplot. results showed that Simalungun, Dumpy, Yangambi progeny could grow adapt better than other toxicity conditions. resistance poisoning mechanism shown by relatively low activity O2-, H2O2, MDA, REL, whereas SOD, POD, GB, AARed, ?-Toch, TPC RDW and, SDW higher relatively.

Stability analysis of oil yield in oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) progenies in different environments.

We evaluated 38 dura x pisifera (DP) oil palm progenies in four locations in Malaysia for genotype by environment interaction and genotypic stability studies. The DP progenies derived from crosses between pisifera palms of AVROS, Serdang S27B, Serdang 29/36, and Lever Cameroon were chosen to be the males' parent and Deli dura palms designated as females' parent. All the locations differed in te...

Variability and performance evaluation of introgressed Nigerian dura x Deli dura oil palm progenies.

Twelve introgressed oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) progenies of Nigerian dura x Deli dura were evaluated for bunch yield, yield attributes, bunch quality components and vegetative characters at the Malaysian Palm Oil Board Research Station, in Keratong, Pahang, Malaysia. Analysis of variance revealed significant to highly significant genotypic differences, indicating sufficient genetic variabilit...

Palm oil and palm olein frying applications.

Several million tones of palm oil and palm olein are used annually in the world for frying. This paper will discuss their frying performances in three major applications - industrial production of potato chips/crisps, industrial production of pre-fried frozen French fries and in fast food outlets. In the first study, about four tones of potato chips were continuously fried 8 hours a day and fiv...
